Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern PA proudly serves Chester, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties with our life-changing youth mentoring program.

Our value proposition is simple: make a difference by matching a child with a Big Brother or Big Sister--a friend and role who can help to bring out the full potential in their "Little." with the professional support of BBBS staff, our volunteers help children to have new experiences, enjoy new activities, and see the world differently--and research shows that these shared moments have a positive impact on the lives and futures of these children.

Simply put, with BBBS mentoring, life's little moments really do create "Big magic."

AN ESTIMATED 1 IN 55 WOMEN WILL DEVELOP OVARIAN CANCER.

Educating the public about this disease is so important because there is no reliable method of early detection. Too many women die unnecessarily from Ovarian Cancer.  Women need to learn the symptoms, listen to their bodies, and see their doctors immediately if they have persistent symptoms.

The symptoms are vague and mimic the symptoms of many less serious medical conditions:

  *   Abdominal/pelvic discomfort or pressure   * Back or leg pain   * Bloating   * Changes in bowel function or urinary frequency    * Fatigue

* Gastrointestinal symptoms (e.g., gas, long-term stomach pain, indigestion)

 * Malnourished appearance    * Nausea or loss of appetite

for more information on Ovarian Cancer, go to  www.ovarian.org

or email Susan at susancarol123@yahoo.com
